French Scene is a social network with an emphasis on friendship, unique experiences and exclusive events.
It is aimed at people of all ages and from all walks of life who have in common the love of the Languedoc and all things French.
Whether you are a resident in the Languedoc, have a holiday home here or just enjoy visiting the region, French Scene will help you make the most of your time in France.
Whatever your situation or age, whether you are a young family or retired, a couple or single, you are sure to benefit from membership, making new friends, discovering new places and sharing new interests.
This comprehensive website, accessible only to members, currently covers the Aude and Pyrenees Orientales although more information on Herault and Gard will be added this year. The website includes a guide to the region; 'what's on' listings; cultural, sporting and family activities; eating, drinking and shopping guides; a forum for exchanging ideas and information; a book and gift shop, and of course, details of all upcoming French Scene events. Unlike other regional websites we don't accept any advertising on our website from third parties. If information about a service or product is on our site it's because we or one of our members have recommended it.
Our programme of events is designed to enhance your French experience with exciting and unique activities. The club is based in Fitou but events take place throughout the Languedoc and are programmed to suit both permanent residents and visitors. Members can also take part in French language and cookery courses.
French Scene has also launched the Languedoc Roussillon Business Network designed to support local English-speaking business people. Members meet on a regular basis to share ideas and best practices. Membership for French Scene costs just €49 for 12 months and you can join at any time. The price is per household regardless of the number of people. Members have unlimited access to the French Scene website and are welcome to attend all French Scene events at the members' price. We also offer Rental Property membership. This is designed for members who rent their property on a regular basis and means that all guests staying in that property during the course of the year have access to the website and can attend all French Scene events. Rental Property membership costs just €79 per household per year.
